The Early Bird renewal season (May 1 - June 4, 2025) is an opportunity for current Girl Scout families and volunteers to renew memberships for the upcoming 2025-26 Girl Scout year in advance! In addition to reserving your spot in the troop, you will be set for another year brimming with exciting new discoveries, unforgettable field trips, learning about STEM, and sharing passions with lifelong friends. Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa (GSGI) is providing the gift of membership for all participating youth and adults. We know removing the financial barrier is the path to giving every girl the chance to experience the life-changing programming we offer and the volunteers who help bring it to life. This is applicable for new and returning members of GSGI. 

The annual cost of a Girl Scout membership for the 2025-2026 membership year is $45 for youth membership and $30 for adult membership, which goes directly to Girl Scouts of the USA to pay for resources like badge and program development, technology infrastructure, and activity insurance. If you have the ability to cover all or part of your membership cost, you may select that option while filling out your renewal form. By covering all or part of the cost of your membership(s), you help GSGI open the doors for more individuals to receive this gift of access to Girl Scout programming.

Current GSGI members with Program Credits may also choose to donate Cookie Dough, Munch Money, or Juliette Program Credits back to GSGI through the Program Credit Donation Form.

  • Troop leaders – don’t forget to get permission from troop parents, including payment preferences! Use the Membership Renewal Roster to help keep yourself organized! 

    If you have enough Troop Proceeds to cover all or part of your Troop’s membership costs, you may select the option to authorize GSGI to ACH from your troop bank account while filling out the renewal form. By covering all or part of the cost of your membership(s), you help GSGI open the doors for more individuals to receive this gift of access to Girl Scout programming.
